Inspiration....

A beautiful sunrise, the colour of Lake Michigan during a storm, a kids' kaleidescope, a cold drink on a hot day, a haunting melody...
Inspiration comes from a variety of sources and isn't limited to things that we see. Music has often inspired me....one of my favourite pieces of all time was created a number of years ago while listening to the Magic Flute, letting the melody of this famous opera wash over me.
I posted a piece to my etsy shop this morning (http://simplywillow.etsy.com/) that was inspired by a butterscotch sundae. Yummy, much like the delicate necklace that it inspired! One of my latest favourites....Ancient Treasures...was inspired by a Lisa Lynne cd that I keep in my studio.

Life itself is inspiring, channeling it, being available to it is the key to opening your creativity. Live, breathe, feel, see, listen and taste your way to inspired creations...

"Taste your way to inspired creations"
So awesome!! Your work is beautiful, and your writing is pretty sweet too. I like finding out where other people get their inspirations..
I dance, and there's some music that I find really inspiring. I like to find the combination of notes that gives me shivers and moves me to dance like no other.

Nice blog ^_^

What a lovely post. I think I may be inspirational challenged. I don't get inspired by stuff too much though a few of my patterns were inspired by fabrics. At a really boring job I would stare at peoples clothes and wonder how I could make that a Peyote pattern. It turned into my Burberry and my argyle. I guess it's a start.

What a neat blog post! We are going camping for a few days on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan - north of Milwaukee - and wife Barb is going to begin teaching me how to do wire wrapping. I hope I get inspiration to do this sitting around the campfire or on the shore.
